Pineapple Days | Fashion DIY
As evidenced by my previous blog inspiration post, I have been recently inspired by the delectable freshness of fruit. When I saw this fabric, I knew exactly what I wanted to make with it. I wanted to add a little bit of glam to the shirt, and maybe you can't see it, but I selected about ten pineapples to outline in gold sequins. Doing this, really dressed up the shirt, and made it feel a little more mature. (It also made me love sequins so much more, and made me realize just how easily they can be used!)
Keep scrolling to see how to DIY your own Pineapple Days T-Shirt.
Materials:
1. 1 yd of knit/jersey fabric
2. Sequins
3. 2 yds of bias tape
Steps:
1. Sew side seams, shoulder seams, and arm sleeves right-sides together.
2. Turn sleeves right side out, and match arm sleeve to side-seam of shirt, pin together and sew armhole to sleeve.
3. The easiest and cleanest way to finish rounded edges like arm and neck holes is with bias tape.
4. Finish bottom hem by folding over twice to cover raw edges.

5. Select the pineapples, or fruit, or print you wish to sequin-ify, mark them with pins so you know where you will be sewing, and begin hand sewing them on.
Yes, I can be a little sassy in my pineapple tee.
