Going to Market | Salutations Shirt DIY

Discovering new and beautiful places in my city has been a goal of mine since moving back. So it was great to finally be able to check out the downtown market that I had heard so much about. While it's no Pike Place Market.... there was still an abundance of fresh fruit, vegi's, and blueberry donuts!
After picking up some groceries at the market, we headed across the highway to a big old warehouse building that hosts multiple, amazing, antique stores. I found some great things there that hopefully you will be able to see in future diy posts.

Since I like to think that I'm still "new" to this city, I thought that this t-shirt diy would be a great casual outfit for my day at the market. It makes me look friendlier, right? Check out my supply checklist and instructions below on how to make your own "salutations shirt"

Supplies Checklist:
  •  plain white tee
  • sequin ribbon - separate sequins are fine too if you're up for the extra time sewing them down!
  • matching thread
  • hand sewing needle
  • print out of salutations desired
Instructions: Before beginning to sew, cut out the word you want to use and pin it to your shirt in the place you desire it to be. After pinning, lightly outline in pencil so you see a faint line to follow when you're sewing your sequins down.
