DIY: Turban Headband and GIVEAWAY!
But, good news - I'm sharing the love, because I want to introduce you to someone pretty awesome, my sister, Allison Christians. She is the lovely lady who makes me look good in a lot of these pictures because she is an amazingly talented photographer. And to show my appreciation for her, if you go to her Facebook page here, and like her page and comment on her giveaway post, you can win a personalized one-of-a-kind turban headband from me delivered to you! If you're in the correct area, you could also win a photography session from her - which is an even cooler prize:)
But... if you don't end up winning it though, you can follow my
DIY instructions below to make your own ;)
Supplies:
Two contrasting printed fabrics - you don't need much, could be scraps! It's best to use a soft jersey, or a lightweight synthetic to keep the band from becoming to bulky
1 skinny hair tie
Pattern:
Directions:
Match the right sides together or one pattern to the other pattern and sew sides down, leaving ends open.
Turn inside out and fold and iron down the raw edges that you left open.
Sew "A" end to "B" end - the, looping "C" and "D" through the loop you made by sewing "A" and "B" together, sew "C" and "D" together.
This should create a knot type appearance.
Lastly, fold and sew the two ends of the band over around the hair tie to make one big circle, and finish your headband!
