Bumble Bees & Jones Creek Apple Orchard
You may call me un-American (and I would say ha! jokes on you, I'm Canadian AND American), but I've never gone to a pumpkin patch to pick my own pumpkin for carving. But my family never really went all out for the Halloween Holidays. Lets just say, I was an old lady for three years, and my two older sisters, myself, and my brother included, were all the same bumble bee at one point in our costume career. My mom was a genius at raiding the dress-up box and creating costumes two hours before trick'or'treat call time (maybe if you're lucky pictures will appear in the near-future).
Anyways - while we did each year partake in the decorations of an oddly shaped pumpkin face, I had never been to a pumpkin patch! So when my roommate Sam and I started planning out a date to escape the city and enjoy these wonderful fall festivities, I was ecstatic when we finally found a date that worked for the both of us between our busy schedules.
We scoured the pumpkin fields looking for our magical pumpkins.
[We did find this gem in the field, apparently the farm owners forgot to tell us that Harry Potter's mandrake plants were living here as well and we needed to bring our own noise-canceling headphones].JPG)
I finally did settle on a pair of twin baby pumpkins, and a handful of personally picked apples. We will see how my pumpkins will be transformed in the next couple days!
P.S. The headband/earwarmers were made by mwah, and are super easy so you could too! Post to come on this DIY
